Carrying Christ to the Youth, International

Our Mission

Carrying Christ to the Youth International is a ministry that is truly focused on helping children have the opportunity to be children as well as having a place they can call home.

We strive to give the young people in our care a space to learn, create and shape into the best version of themselves. If we want to make a difference or an impact on tomorrow, it starts with how we care for our children today!

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

– MATTHEW 19:14 –

Our Work

Annie and I were both born in Liberia, Africa, and have seen the devastation of homes being torn apart. Children lost their parents, we extended periods with no food, water, or basic living essentials. The worst part for all these children is they feel as if they have no hope or that they will ever feel loved.

Home/Boarding School

We have purchased 4 acres of land in Liberia and are excited to begin building with your help! What we are building:

International Youth Center

We are also looking to build a International Youth Center that will be our home base and headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will host school activities and events.

How can you get involved?

FIRST GOAL = $60,000

We are in need of donations for resources: supplies and money. This will go towards building our boarding school and home in Liberia. The school will be elementary through high school, including after-school and summer programs as well. This will give students a great education, providing a stable environment to learn in.

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

About Us

My name is Joe Emmanuel Gassagee and this is my beautiful wife Annie. We have a beautiful mini-army of our own children – whether biological or children we have raised due to difficult circumstances – the calling to start a ministry for children has always felt like our calling from God.

Upon arriving in the states as refugees from Africa, the first few years were extremely rough. Not only from a financial standpoint but also because our environment was riddled with violence and negative influences. We realized that we could not give our kids everything they needed to succeed – not only in this country but in this life. That is when we stumbled upon different children’s ministries here in the United States.

"I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
